The Pittsburgh Area Intergroup of SAA (PAISAA) manages the business of SAA in the Pittsburgh Area. PAISAA has four primary areas of responsibility:
To help its member SAA groups carry the SAA message to the sex addict who still suffers.
To provide shared and coordinated services and resources to individual members and the member SAA groups.
To allow for the effective use of SAA funds.
To provide support to the SAA membership that individual groups, acting alone, could not provide (i.e., website and telephone service).
To help disseminate information within the member SAA organization and to initiate Public Information / Cooperation with the Professional Community (PI/CPC) for SAA in the Pittsburgh Area.
There are currently about 6 meetings within the geographic area served by PAISAA. Each group may elect its own Intergroup representative. These members provide input to Intergroup on the matters listed above and relay relevant information back to the groups they represent.
Monthly Intergroup Meeting
The monthly Intergroup meeting takes place on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:00-6:50pm. Any member of SAA who is interested in the business of PAISAA is welcome to attend the meeting. The only requirement is a desire to stop addictive sexual behavior. If a matter is put to the group for a vote, these visitors may participate in the discussions, but will not be allowed to participate in the voting process.
